3. Important Financial Privacy Boundary

NO SENSITIVE FINANCIAL PROFILES COLLECTED:

Sensyk is designed as a general, impersonal research publication library.

We do not intentionally request or use personal investment-profile information to personalize securities research. In particular, the Service is not designed to collect or store portfolio holdings, account balances, net worth, investment budgets, personal target returns, personal risk tolerance, desired position sizes, tax status, or retirement plans.

Please do not submit this information through support forms or other channels. If you voluntarily provide such information, we may delete it immediately or ignore it.

4. Personal Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal information:

4.1 Account and Authentication Information

When you create or access an account, we may collect or receive your name, email address, Clerk user ID, authentication/session information, account creation date, and profile metadata. Authentication is securely handled by Clerk.

4.2 Subscription and Billing Information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, we may collect or receive your subscription plan, subscription status, Paddle customer ID, Paddle subscription ID, price ID, renewal status, refund/chargeback events, and payment confirmation metadata. We do not store full credit card numbers. All payment processing is securely handled by Paddle.

4.3 Product Usage Information

When you use the Service, we collect reports viewed, report bookmarks, recent reading history, filter and sorting interactions, dashboard preferences, session events, device/browser information, IP address, approximate location derived from technical data, and timestamps.

4.4 Support and Communications

If you contact us, we collect your name, email, support category, subject line, message content, attachments, and communication history to resolve your request.

4.5 AI Request Information

If you use AI-assisted features (like ticker summaries), we process ticker symbols or prompts you submit, generated outputs, request timestamps, technical logs, and error information. Do not include personal financial information in AI prompts.

4.6 Analytics and Error Monitoring

We use PostHog and Sentry to understand product usage, diagnose errors, and protect the Service. These tools process page views, device/browser details, session data, IP addresses, crash reports, stack traces, replay/diagnostic data, and associated account identifiers or email addresses depending on configuration. (Specifically, Sentry error monitoring may collect diagnostic details to ensure high application uptime).

5. Sources of Personal Information

We collect personal information from:

  • You directly (e.g. signup, support forms, AI feature usage);
  • Your device and browser automatically;
  • Authentication providers (Clerk) and Payment processors (Paddle);
  • Analytics and monitoring tools (PostHog, Sentry); and
  • Service logs and hosting infrastructures.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is legally required.

  • Account profiles: Maintained while your account is active, then deleted or anonymized within 30 days of deletion request.
  • Subscription and billing records: Retained for up to 7 years to meet tax, accounting, and compliance requirements.
  • Bookmarks and history: Retained while the account is active or until manually cleared by you.
  • Security & Error logs: Cleaned or rotated automatically on a regular schedule (typically 30 to 90 days).

We implement reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative measures designed to protect personal information, including end-to-end encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), multi-factor database access controls, robust API key management, and continuous security logging.
